Tina Morse is our property manager at La Puesta del Sol. She will greet you and settle you in upon arrival in Troncones (as long as you gave us your approx. arrival time).

We have a full time maid, Matilda, who will clean and freshen your room daily except on Sundays. Then there is our Mr. Greenthumb, Luis the gardener, who keeps our grounds in perfect shape. We humbly recommend that you tip them at least $10 pesos apiece per day, more is fine if you like.

Life in the jungle can be exciting. Sometimes the electricity will fluctuate, so if you are planning to bring any sort of electronic equipment, please bring a good surge protector. We are at 110 volts.

We have a total of 4 units.

In the lower story of our "new" building we have our Oceanfront Mini Suite with a small tiled kitchen. The room is split level and very large with a king size and twin bed.

Also on the lower level is the Mountain View Room with a king size or two twin beds (a third twin can be added). These two rooms can be opened up to form a large family unit.

The second story houses the Penthouse / Owners Suite. Sleeping arrangements include a king size bed and a twin sofa bed. The suite has a beautifully tiled small kitchen which opens into a large palapa-shaded, outdoor veranda providing a sweeping view of the Troncones coastline, the best view on the beach. The suite also has an exclusive entrance to a third story sundeck.

All rooms mentioned above have hot water, private tiled baths, ceiling fans, rustic tiled floors, and large verandas complete with hammocks and lounge chairs.

On the ground floor, adjacent to these rooms is the original palapa where the old restaurant was located. It is now the "just hanging out" spot furnished with traditional Mexican leather tables and chairs, and colorful hammocks from the Yucatan for your use and enjoyment.

The Surfer Room is located in the old section. Although it is small, it has a private bath and cold water shower. This room has two twin beds and a patio facing the beach with tiled roof.

The Surfer Room can accommodate 2 persons. The other rooms can accommodate 3 persons each.

We also offer a honor bar for beer and a large fridge for your use if you are not in any of the kitchen rooms.

The entire property is on the beach.

Getting Here

The closest airport is Zihuatanejo - Ixtapa International. Troncones is about a 35 minute drive by car north on Highway 200. The cost is about $50 USD.
